Documents required for UK visa application
- Original passport with 6 months validity and previous passports, if any
- 02 photos white background 35 X 45 mm, 80% face, Matte Finish
- Visa Application form
- Travel Insurance
- Covering letter mentioning details of travel, details of the traveller, purpose of visit and duration of stay addressed to The Visa Officer, British High Commission, New Delhi (if self employed - The cover letter must be printed on letterhead, duly signed with company stamp)
- Proof of occupation:
- If Employed: Salary slip last 6 months updated, NOC / Leave letter from employer
- If Self-Employed: Ownership proof, Company registration certificate

- Salary account statement and Personal bank account statement for last 6 months updated with seal and sign of bank with minimum cumulative balance of Rs 2,00,000 per person.
- If Self-Employed:
- Current account statement and Personal bank account statement for last 6 months updated with seal and sign of bank with minimum cumulative balance of Rs 2,00,000 per person.
If the applicant has a family in UK and is going on family visit following additional documents have to be submitted -
- Passport & visa copies or Immigration status of the invitee
- Invitee proof of Employment (Contract letter / Appointment letter)
- Invitee proof of Residence
- Invitation letter
